About The Artist
Mr. BigLeaf – Recycled Glass Artist & Queer Changemaker
I’m Mr. BigLeaf— a non-binary recycled glass artist based in Fort Worth, Texas.
My passion for glass art is rooted in curiosity—about materials, processes, and possibilities.
I want to spark that same curiosity in you.
As a queer artist, my identity shapes my approach to creativity.
I see the world as fluid, evolving, and endlessly bold.
Like glass, identity isn’t fixed—it’s shaped by experience and open to reinvention.
My work reflects that ethos, inviting you to embrace the beauty of transformation.
Glass has a way of drawing you in. It demands focus, patience, and presence.
Working with it is an exercise in balance—handling it with care while trusting it won’t break under pressure. In that liminal space, I find myself, fully and unapologetically.
My journey started with a simple act: collecting bottles from friends and neighbors to turn into planters.
Before I knew it, I was surrounded by hundreds of bottles, each holding potential.
I realized then that I needed to do more—more than planters, more than art for art’s sake and Mr.BigLeaf was born.
We have made many friends along the way that have helped us refine our craft.
Because this art form has a high barrier to entry I became a glass evangelist.
I’ve championed public access to glass working in my local community, leading the charge for an Open Studios series at SiNaCa Studios.
It’s been an incredible experience to welcome people from all walks of life, offering them a chance to pick up the torch—literally—and carry this art form forward.
This work isn’t just about repurposing discarded glass bottles; it’s about shifting perspectives.
Every tumbler, planter, and custom design I create carries a story—its past, my present, and your future.
Each piece I create is a conversation starter, a challenge to the norm, and a call to rethink how we engage with the world around us.
Fort Worth is my creative home, but my vision extends far beyond its borders.
Every Mr. BigLeaf piece is an act of rebellion—against waste, against stagnation, against the idea that what’s discarded can’t be made beautiful again.
When you hold one of my creations, you’re holding potential, resilience, and a fresh way of seeing the world.
Let’s transform the ordinary into the extraordinary.
